  Overall, my stay at The Chancellor was quite comfortable. I was attending for a business function, so I spent very little time in the room itself. The bed was comfortable and the pillows were plump. The bathroom was clean, functional, and moderately sized. The room itself appeared clean and tidy and was a very comfortable size for one person staying only two nights. When I entered the room for the first time, all of the lights had been left on for me and the aircon was on and at a comfortable temperature. I sleep well and am accustomed to noise during the night, so I rested well enough. However, I will note that the aircon units are quite loud. The walls are also somewhat thin, for example allowing you to hear the water running in the pipes to the neighbouring room or your fellow visitor on the phone if they are not keeping it down. My colleagues staying in the same hotel, who are more likely to be disturbed than I am, were more bothered by this and cited these reasons as contributing to their poor sleep. Another colleague of mine noticed that her doona sheet was quite stained and, when she returned to the front desk to have it exchanged, it took quite a long time to replace it. I did not look at my sheets to compare with her experience. Considering my length of stay, my limited time in the room, and my tendency to sleep well, this hotel was very adequate for my means. If you are a light sleeper or particularly exacting of your room's spotlessness, this may not be the best for for you.

  The aircon is very loud! I cluld barely sleep. The customer service is good.

  Great front office staff who is willing to give extra effort to ensure you have a pleasant experience. A co-worker stayed here and the staff helped me stay in touch with them despite the co-worker not having a local cell phone. It's hard to find good parking here, but that is the case for all places in the city center.

  The staff were friendly, our room for two was a good size and included a jacuzzi. The hotel is very close to the main shopping area of Rundle Mall and eateries are nearby on Peel Street and Leigh Street. They have a small gym and pool in the basement which is sufficient for a quick workout as it has the basics. The wifi coverage was intermittent on the upper floors which is not great if you are always connected. We dined at the restaurant, if you are in a rush then the food here is a good option but there are plenty of other options that offer more variety in food and drink options that I would recommend instead.

  Stayed here twice, thoroughly enjoyed and will likely be back. Super location in the city, great restaurants, cafe's nearby. Close to public transport, bus, tram etc. Staff friendly and helpful. Look around and compare online deals for price, can sometimes get a bargain.
