  Well established now, the Ellington is one of Perth's great live music venues. Friendly staff and a refined atmosphere, and a host of shows week in, week out. Regrettably it was my first visit there in a long time recently, something I'll have to rectify!

  When I walk in, lean back and close my eyes, I can pretend I am in a jazz bar in New York or in New Orleans. A real jazz bar here in Perth, we get some fantastic visiting acts. Make my heart nostalgic!! Decent priced food and drinks, nearly always worth the cover fee. Hope to never see it go...

  Intimate, soul-filled joint showcasing fantastic music! Always enjoy returning for the crowded, good-serving, drink-filling vibe. Staff are immensely fabulous, who also enjoy where they are. Here's Natalie Gillespie, Dave Brewer and band.

  What a marvellous intimate jazz club. My brother his son and I went there to listen to a 10 piece band called Manteca. They were phenomenal. So together, tight and inspired by their music. It was some of the best funk jazz I have heard in a long time. The Ellington Jazz Club was the ideal venue in Western Australia to listen to music of this high calibre. The audience was highly appreciative and responded accordingly winning 2 encores from the band at the end of the session. A truly thrilling night out.

  The place is cozy, so you have good views and sounds from the stage. Depending on the music, it can be nice or too loud. The ticket prices are worth it as the performances are usually great. The food is good with vegan and vegetarian options. It is standard pub food.
