  I have visited the grounds many times, but only wondered into the cafe a handful of times. The cafe has a huge wait; you put your name down, they give you a buzzer or take your mobile number, and about 30-40 minutes later your table is ready. There is plenty to do at the grounds, so this isn't always a nuisance - unless you are very hungry when you arrive! I ordered the avocado on toast, whilst my girlfriend ordered one of the 'health bowls'. Her meal was very neat and nicely presented. I felt mine lacked a bit in the presentation. The flavours were nice, but it felt like it had been rushed. All of the ingredients felt "thrown on" rather than properly prepared. This might be how they do it, but it was unexpected for me. Due to the presentation of the meal and the long waits, i'm only giving this a 3 star. If I had the option I would probably give it a 3.5. It's a fun destination, but there are probably better brunch locations in the area!

  We just love this place. It is about the atmosphere, the food, the sensonof place. We went for the first time in 2013 or 2014 when it opened and always a unique place. This time we had some smoothies, coffee and some sweets. We've had breakfast at the cafe and dinner at the potting shed. Always fantastic. This time we went with our little ones and also had lots of fun only by looking at the farm animals. We met Kevin Bacon when it was a skinny little pig... we love this place.

  Amazing place. Awesome all rounder. Food. Coffee. Beer. Shady, cool atmosphere everything is well presented. The coffee is good, service is great. The food seemed expensive but was definitely worth the money. All the salads options were fantastic.

  Very unique experience... discover something new and different each time. From gorgeous decor, gardens, markets with handmade goodies, flowers, animal farm ( ..and a very friendly dancing parrot at The Potting Shed! ), various food options, bakery etc etc ... every little detail is carefully planted in this wonderful oasis! Food is just divine and staff is very friendly and helpful.. only happy faces at The Grounds of Alexandria 🤗

  The Grounds of Alexandria provides an incredibly unique breakfast or lunch experience in Sydney. By no means should you be put off by the train ride and small walk to get there At no point from when I arrived, to when I reluctantly left this beautiful safe haven behind me, was I disappointed. Starting from the awe inspiring decor and gardens which exhibit the most fine attention to detail, continuing through to the excellent customer service and finally, being presented with a breathtaking artwork for a meal; I cannot conjure within me a bad word to say. I ordered “Our Avocado on Toast” and was certainly not disappointed. It’s important to recognize the “our” in the title as The Grounds of Alexandria create and present the most fine-tuned, contemporary avocado on toast unlike anything I’ve ever seen.
