  I think a better name for this small business would be "A Touch of Snobbery". My daughter, her partner and 2 of their friends, all in their mid twenties, well-dressed, well-spoken and polite, recently went there. They are not from the Newcastle area and needed to buy a towel. Rather than being greeted and shown the range of towels available, they seem to have been rapidly "sized up" by whichever of Prude or Trude was on duty that day and informed that they should look elsewhere - Big W was the suggestion. The sales assistant's very first words were "We only sell expensive towels here, imported from France" The irony of this was not lost on the group, given that one of them was a robotics engineer visiting from Paris. Politeness costs nothing, genuine service is gracious. Needless to say, no business was transacted.
