  I just had the most spectacular piece of steak I have eaten in a very long time. The Hobart Beer and Beef Club had 80 members who were all fed at the same time with remarkable service and brilliant Cascade beer. I would highly recommend Wrest Point for your wedding or large function.

  Comfortable with great attentive staff but very dated. Gorgeous views of the harbour if you get the right room and the sun rises over the water. Pool and spa are small, but enough to relax in, certainly don't expect to be doing lengths in the pool! Gym is adequate. Walking into main town of Hobart takes 30 minutes at a good pace.

  Excellent service and food. Don't expect to be stuffed but you won't go away hungry either. It was our wedding night and we were greeted very enthusiasticly and given complimentary drinks.

  I had a great 3 course meal here for $90. Everything I ordered was on point. I even got an extra dessert on the house and "happy birthday" sung to me by staff, as I was celebrating my birthday with my family. Plates are quite small however. It is quite pricey for the amount of food, but worth it for the indulgence, view, and professional service! Only real downfall was one plate of food we received (fish & squid) was appallingly bare, and something may have been wrong with the squid as the person who had it later vomited it up that night. All in all, it was a pleasant evening with mostly great food, entertainment (food cooked in front if you), and wonderful service.

  Really nice hotel. We stayed 3 nights in the water edge room. Good facilities : gym, swimming pool, jacuzzi. Nice staff. As an hospitality worker I will suggest to the reception to mention all the information about gym, swimming pool, casino, breakfast, bar & restaurant in the hotel while customers are check-in.
