  A very good sized Aldi on offer at Hawthorn. They have quite a decent range of fresh produce and a large selection of meat. Like most Aldis they offer lots of products.

  If you want to cheap fruits and vegetables quickly,this is the place. Although, you might consider taking your own portable trolley. They have trolley which needs 2 dollars coin, which is refundable but can be hassle when you don't have coins.

  The fruit and vegetables last days longer than if you buy from Woolies etc, and many of the prices are a lot better also, and still many local products in the fresh fruit n veg section which I like. The meat which we have bought had been really good, less far and waste. The dairy products are also pretty good. We do not eat much prepackaged, tinned, frozen, processed foods and make most our meals from the basic ingredients ourselves so can't reflect on much of the other grocery range. Have got some of our cleaning products from their and seem to be of equivalent quality (they do the job they are supposed to do, but often have more basic packaging and a much lower price tag because it's not a well known brand - I think too often we pay too much extra for the name on the packaging). The Wednesday and Saturday one day sales have everything imaginable from white goods, to Tracie tools, camping, fishing and 4wd gear, kids toys and clothes, kitchen ware, gift items, gardening gear, the list goes on and on. You get used to having a coin, or buy a time for a dollar to keep on your key ring that works in pretty much any trolley. I like that they charge for plastic bags - It makes people reconsider if they actually need them, and encourage the use of reusable bags. We leave ours in the boot and pack our things from the trolley straight into bags in the boot away from people and saves double handling things in and out of the trolley, or have the bags spread out ready in the trolley to start with and as things are scanned pop them in the appropriate bag (It really is not hard to get used to for the savings you make over a year.

  But a big fan of Aldi, but they do have some good stuff. Baskets would be very handy, shopping trolley's aren't convenient. Usually get held up a little with people juggling their goods to pack in the packing area, they usually do it in the idle when you're in a rush. I go there for a few items, I'm a little tentative off house brands (of which Aldi is mostly based) where the profits of the store and product goes overseas. Not really suited for weekly shopping, but good for getting a few items.

  Wow! What a SUPERMARKET! I'm very impressed by how they set up the shop. Much wider than a lot of other aldi we have in Canberra. Plenty of space to walk around with trolley. Would be happy to shop there again and again
