  Extremely rude and didn't even want to help with the question I had or even allowed me to finish asking the question before being rudely interrupted. Had to end the conversation before I became angry with them. Maybe the people working there need to learn some manners and don't sound like we are wasting their time or inconveniencing them. Very sad that these are the people representing Italian people

  Absolutely appalling customer service. If I could give them 0 stars I would. I now understand who all of the bad reviews on Google re: The Consulate of Italy, Brisbane are about: The customer service receptionist/“Manager” named ‘Oreste’. My partner called her to ask about Visa’s last week and she was extremely rude right from the start. I emailed customer service this week and unfortunately got her again. For no reason at all she was extremely condescending, abrupt and rude. I asked to speak to her manager and she said she was the manager. No idea how this woman still has a job, especially if she actually is in management, after all of the bad reviews about her. Very disappointed.

  It takes a month to get an appointment and only if the reservation system works as it should. When we finally got a chance to see an official we explained that we intended to sail a yacht along the Italian coast but they refused to grant us a visa unless we were able to show them invoices for the various anchorages that we would stay at each night. No amount of discussion about the issues of storms could convince them that this was not practical and when I told them that I could only give them suggested ports and maybe some invoices they said that this would be lying and they would not allow this. The Italian coast is one of the most beautiful in the world and the people at the Visa section seem to be of the opinion that no foreigners should be allowed to visit. This is the worst experience I have ever had.

  Very kind staff. I got my passport renewed in 15 min. Incredible.

  The most unhelpful and unprofessionally run government organization I have ever had dealing with. They simply don't care and could not be bothered with answering emails or following up on customers request. A disgrace in this day of age. Management should be held accountable for this badly run department.
