::As a volunteer in community transport I accompany patients to their appointments at hospitals around town. I spend a lot of time in waiting rooms and hospital cafes. St Andrew's is my favourite place to wait. The staff (paid and volunteer) are amazing - very helpful, friendly and efficient. The waiting areas are comfortable. The cafe is fantastic, and it has REAL FOOD. Fresh sandwiches, salads, wraps, quiches, and more. A great range of drinks and desserts, as well as all your snack food fixes. Today when I went in wearing my volunteer uniform I selected a drink and a sandwich. They wouldn't let me pay for the drink. It's on the house because, like them, I'm a volunteer. Now I'm not promising you'll get a freebie just because you're there in your volunteer role, but it was so nice to be recognised outside of my own organisation. Thanks St Andrew's! My clients and I were welcome to sit and chat as long as we needed to between appointments. It's just such a relaxed and comfortable place to be for what can sometimes be a confronting day.

::Throughout my life, I've had to have well over 60 surgeries & procedures and have been in just about every hosp in Adel. So I feel qualified that I can say with certainty that St Andrews is exceptional in every aspect. I've been a patient at St Andrews in excess of 10 times & can say this is the best hospital in Adelaide. The nursing staff, cleaners, specialists, doctors and clerical staff are all exceptional. The breast cancer & oncology ward staff are amazing!! The food is also very good as far as hospital food goes.... no complaints from me. The in-house cafe/gift shop is very efficiently run & stocked. All the nursing staff go above & beyond to offer top quality care & compassion. Love you St Andrews!!
