::A not too bad place to go if you forgot to buy something a/hrs but...very expensive. Staff is helpful and friendly, and they'll always assist youπ. I do feel sorry for them though, because they're working under pressure, being watched by a 'Big Brother's' cameras. I do not go to W/Mackay IGA very often. The owners of 'Nick's IGA' do everything to compete with other supermarkets, even they go to ridiculousness of dropping their prices on the items by 0.01 cent hey!π€£π¨ πTo me is sick and appealing. I wish that we have an 'Aldi' in Mackay. It would be a good competition for all 'rip offs' supermarkets like: Coles, Woolies and IGA.Then their prices would trully have to go 'Down', 'Down', 'Down' without rising them horrendously up first! The customers aren't 'dills', as you all 'Big Supermarkets' think and treat us. So to all of you. WARNING. Respect your customers, cos we can 'abandon' you and go and help little retailers, or buy stuff from our markets, which many ppl. Do anyway! ππWe know exactly what's going on!π We're disgusted π²π€ and we've had a gut full. π€πTo help myself from this ongoing supermarket's 'rips off'π€π my partner and I, we grow our own little vegs π ππ₯πΆπ₯garden, and 99% we cook our meals at home. We prepare them in 'bulk'π, and then we store them in plastic containers in the frezer for our 'lazy' days.ππ That way we save buckets lots of money, eat healthier and enjoy our own meals. My partner does lovely salads π₯ π§π― with cold meatsπ during our hot summersπ π‘βοΈ. I cook lovely soups,π₯ stews, π gulashes with lots of vegs during our tropical π΄ winterπ¬. Afterwards, we do dishes together. And yes, we spoil ourselves occasionslly with an ice creamπ¦π¨, or a piece of cake π°. Also a cup of tea π΅ or coffee βπ. A good and an 'old fashion' way of eating is the best!ππ. NO JUNK FAST FOOD!πππ©πππ€π²π€€ I use recipes from my 'memories' and from my old Polish cook book hey!ππ Thanks to my mum & grandma. P.S. But...of course, it's everyone's choice to go fo groceries wherever they want and like!ππ

::If you get stuck with missing of a little bit of groceries after/hrs, you can pop into IGA West Mackay on Bridge Rd. They're open 24/7. They're like other supermarkets Coles and Woolies, but more expensive...π€I do not go there very often. If I have no time to cook for myself at home, ( coz I am working or I am a bit 'lazy' hahaha!πβΊ I'll go to an 'old' Hatties' in Shakespeare St. to pick up a piece of roast pork or a piece of beef. I cook vegs at home, and 'voilΓ‘' our dinner is ready!ππ But I must whinge too. 'Hatties' and West Mackay IGA are giving a 'huge' and laughable 'discounts' of 0.01 cent on certain products π€£π²π€€hey! Exemple only: Coles- Certain brand of bread is @$3.50 per loaf, at IGA West Mky same bread they're selling 'discounted' π²π for $3.49... etc. Crazy aye! ππ€π
