::Great accomodation option for a working weekend in Newcastle! The room has a nice modern decor - big shower is a bonus - and a comfy bed. Dining out is easy with the bar and restaurant downstairs, too with live music. Friendly staff is always a great way to start.

::I have stayed here many times for work and really enjoy my stays at the great little jem. Food at the restaurant is really good although a bit over priced. Highly recommended grandmas fried chicken or the cheaper smoked meat platter for 2 (if your supper hungry. My two complaints are that the serving sizes have shrunk since I've been coming here and the menu has not changed at all. In regard to the menu I suppose if it works then why change. In my opinion the real star here is the accommodation! I've pretty much stayed in most rooms over time and stayed in all the different levels of room. They are all very comfortable and decorated in a dark modern stylish theme. Every bathroom I've had has been immaculate and the beds are amazing! Quality linen, various pillow thicknesses and comfortable mattresses are what keeps me coming back. Also of note is the great staff here. From Brigette at reservations to the team at the bar and restaurant, they are all great. Also have craft beers on tap which I love! Take advantage of the happy hour from 4-6 for cheaper beers and bar food. Highly recommend the Cajun spiced wings with ranch dipping sauce... YUM

::Atmosphere is great, lovely beer garden, great for a beer, veggie burger was awful though. Deep fried pickles also not great. Fish Tacos were good. Would mainly just go here for beer and atmosphere. Great live music
