::Sat down to enjoy their $12 lunches. I had a sleeping 4 month old in a pram with me and was asked to leave as they can't serve me food with the child present. Absolutely ridiculous.

::Meatless Monday 5 course degustation was great food but they serve the plates to "couples" who may never have met before the dinner, and without any serving utensils.... awkward sharing hommus etc..freaked out the germophobes

::Came here mid afternoon Sunday. Very quiet, but a cozy place to have a few cocktails. Love the decor and atmosphere. Staff were good. Would love to see it on a busy night.

::The service I received was terrible and because of that I won’t be returning. There are plenty of other places to go in Newcastle with equally good drinks and food but better service. I stopped in for a cocktail not realizing they don’t have seats at the bar. When I arrived it felt like they didn’t want to seat me just for a drink (although at $19 a pop they’re as costly as an entree) although maybe that sentiment was more about how I was just dressed casual in just a pair of shorts and a tank top. Nonetheless the place was empty when I arrived with about half the tables set for reservations. The waitress eventually allowed me to sit at a table and took my drink order. She then never returned to the table even while I was sitting with an empty glass for a good 10 minutes. Eventually I had to flag her down to ask about the check. My cocktail was delicious, the food looked good, and the other tables seemed to have better service despite a clear need for another waitperson

::I was going to have my 30th here but the event manager, was really rude, lacked any sort of accommodating skills, and basically talked himself out of the gig. I've called to book it on more than one occasion and he never gets back to me, when I asked about drink packages he just goes on about it being a premium venue, that would not be able to offer a discounted drinks package, even after I was told by another guy working that they could do something on the beer and wine price. The place is gorgeous and the owners Tully and Jordan went out of their way to accommodate me and offered a free tasting dinner. Which was exceptional! I was all ready to book it but Simon didn't seem to want the business. He was really rude when I had to follow up and didn't get back to me for a second time. So I've had to book the back up option as he still hasn't followed up! Such a shame as this really would have been my idea location.
